The Albereta Relais & Chateaux

An hour outside Milan and nestled in the Franciacorta vineyard, the hotel is a nice 2-3 day get away from the city. Rooms were nice and spacious with balconies overlooking the vineyard. The fine dining restaurant was excellent, while the all day dining place, bar and only daytime outlet was average. Very limited menu and slow service. There is a small indoor and outdoor pool that was enjoyably peaceful and although we did not use the spa, it looks comprehensive and well equipped. Some service interactions were (mainly reception, concierge etc) were tremendous, while others, mainly in the restaurants left to be desired. Overall, a nice place for a getaway.

I have just returned from Albereta last Sunday after a glorious long weekend there as I collaborate with them. In my life I have had the luck to stay in wonderful hotels all over the world however the Albereta really blew my mind. I was most impressed by the beauty of the hotel and its magnificent garden /park (the hotel is perched on top of a hill and enjoys a stunning view, the estate include the family vineyards too). I was able to walk and visit the nearby Bellavista winery that you can reach walking in just 10 minutes. The service at the hotel is out of this world because their team is very professional and extremely kind (I spoke with other clients and they were all saying the same); many of the staff have been working there for decades and you can tell they share the same passion, style and love with the family who owns and still runs the hotel. It is the first time that I was very emotional after departing from a hotel because staying at Albereta is perfect for all senses. A strong element of Albereta is also its medi spa that is managed by Chenot Espace, the only of its kind in Italy - the treatments I had were superb as I had the bioenergetic, the hydrotherapy + mud and the detox (I would need an entire day to share my positive feelings about these treatments that touched not only my body but especially my soul). The local area is beautiful and not overcrowded, walk along the lake Iseo or Monte Isola, breathtaking landscapes! I didn't have much time to do everything the hotel offers but I'd love to go back and and also play golf at the nearby Franciacorta Golf Club. Absolutely stunning 5 Star hotel. An amazing property with gorgeous grounds spread over more than 10 acres. Three restaurants and a famous pizzeria. We experienced them all during a 4 night stay. The Wellness Restaurant is part of a Spa Regime for those wishing to keep the calories in check. Ate their twice and found the preparations highly delicious considering only 600 calories for 3 courses! Very special, but also very expensive. Staff very professional and friendly at the same time. Excellent safe parking in 3 locations including covered garage. Numerous places to stroll around and the sculptures throughout the property are exceptional art. We plan to return without hesitation next year!
